A sunny weekend was witness of the IV edition of The Wedding Day, held at Igeretxe Hotel last February 20^th and 21^st. The charming 4-star hotel enjoys a privileged position, wrapped in the sands of the beach of Ereaga (Getxo) and just twenty minutes away from Bilbao. They keep celebrating these conferences since 2012 with the aim of bringing couples to the best suppliers of the bridal market in Bizkaia and show them the different options offered by the hotel to celebrate their wedding.

As you know, I am a faithful attendant to this kind of meetings, as I told you here and here on my visit to Love Lab Days in Asturias, or here when I went to El Patio de las Bodas, in Bilbao. So if for some reason you could not get close to The Wedding Day, today I bring you a summary of what the event was, because I can’t miss these bridal meetings.

First bridal fashion show

This year has been marked by newness: the first bridal fashion show organized by Bodas Live Bilbao and Frank Rueda. On Saturday afternoon, the lobby of Igeretxe Hotel completed its capacity; thousands of brides and grooms were eager to see the dresses presented by Novelle, Moca Couture and Alicia Rueda. The show was also enlivened by the sweet voices of Lara and Ana from The Gastis and hosted by the journalist Ainhoa Garcia. Finally, the Ballet School of Galdakao put the icing on the cake and closed the event to the rhythm of All of me from John Legend.

The rooms of the Igeretxe Hotel became exhibition area for the choicest brands organizing weddings in the Basque Country. Professionals that come together at a wedding are endless, from wedding planners, photographers, fashion designers, headdresses, jewelry, pastries and cakes to photo booth, stationery or floral decoration.

They usually celebrate this event in winter and admission is free with an invitation. For me, it is always a great time to visit these places, because it is an opportunity to talk with industry colleagues and meet new ones. In addition, I met with a berezibride of this year and together we enjoyed the bridal fashion show between laughs and confidences.
